
Vijay Polaki: A Choreographer’s Journey in Telugu Cinema
The Srikakulam-born choreographer has worked on over 130 songs and a handful of theatrical releases. He gained recognition for his work in the film Palasa 1978, particularly for the song “Nadi Nakkilesu Golusu.” His choreography in the song “Oo Antava” from Pushpa: The Rise (2021) brought him wider attention, especially for the hook step that went viral online.

He continued his work in the sequel, Pushpa: The Rule (2024), choreographing the song “Pushpa Pushpa,” which also gained popularity for its energetic dance movements.
His recent film Mad Square, songs such as “Swathi Reddy,” “Ladu Gani Pelli,” and “Konte Konte” were well received by the audience. Additionally, the song “Oo Vennela” from the upcoming film Bhairavam has received early appreciation from audiences for its choreography.

Vijay Polaki’s upcoming projects include Sambarla Yetti Gattu, Mirai, Chaurya Paatam, and Tyson Naidu, indicating a continued presence in Telugu film choreography.
